Manatee Park

Activity description

Manatee Park is a non-captive warm-water refuge where manatees are most reliably seen when Gulf water temperatures fall below about 68 degrees, typically in late December, January and February. Boardwalks, viewing areas and educational displays explain manatee ecology and conservation; a public kayak launch, rentals, playground, butterfly garden and picnic areas are also available. The park is open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
