Activity description

Each winter, hundreds of manatees gather here to bask in the warm outflow of a nearby power plant — a rare spectacle visible from shaded boardwalks. Educational exhibits explain the gentle mammals’ habits and conservation needs. Even outside manatee season, the park’s picnic spots and kayak launch make it a serene riverside retreat.
