Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge
Activity description
The Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge, located east of Naples along Alligator Alley, protects nearly 27,000 acres of the endangered Florida panther habitat. The refuge features two scenic hiking trails that offer a glimpse into a wilderness of cypress domes, pine flatwoods and hardwood hammocks. Spotting one of the big cats is unlikely, but visitors can look out for the deer, bobcats, black bears and many species of birds that make the preserve their home.
